Welcome to the Wonderful World of Saccharin!
Saccharin is an artificial sweetener commonly used a substitute for sugar. It is thought to be much sweeter than the lame and dull sucrose and with , but nonetheless has been thought to have a bitter aftertaste. So, basically, saccharin is the Red Bull of coffee sweeteners.
Saccharin is also what moms use to try to lose weight, along with diet coke and speed walking, none of which work.
